tru Guide from Tullis Russell
|
Following the successful re-branding of its leading coated SBS board range trucard in 2006, Tullis Russell, as part of an extensive promotional campaign, has just published the “tru guide”, a comprehensive handbook for users and specifiers of coated board.
Designed by Graphic Partners and printed by Capscan in Edinburgh, the Guide gives users and specifiers of trucard all the crucial information required to make an informed choice. The comprehensive case-bound guide, which has been translated into ten languages, is being distributed by merchants across sixteen countries. It covers an array of subjects including board construction, folding and creasing, printing and conversion, paper handling as well as a useful glossary of print and paper terminology. The guide also shows an impressive variety of print finishing techniques achievable on trucard including embossing, die cutting, foil blocking and UV varnishing in gloss, matt and silk finishes.
The trucard product range, which is fully FSC accredited and fully recyclable, now offers the widest choice of coated SBS board available in the market. A recycled option has also been added to the range – giving users even greater choice when looking for board with sound environmental credentials.
In addition to the core range of one and two side coated products, specifiers can also choose from a number of special options. - trucard 1 gloss book, ideal for book covers, trucard 1 gloss extra, with a lick back coating designed for card applications and trucard 1 and 2 gloss laser.
Product swatches and product information Sheets have been produced for trucard 1 gloss, trucard 2 gloss and trucard 2 matt and provide detailed technical information about trucard. Copies of these and the new guide are available through your local trucard stockist.
Tullis Russell’s campaign focuses around the tru concept, communicating the message of exceptional service, timely delivery and superior performance by building a theme around the word tru. Tru, derived from the English word ‘True,’ builds on associated themes of faith, loyalty and accuracy.
Malcolm Sinclair, Marketing Director at Tullis Russell, explains; “Our flexibility and innovation have allowed us to successfully develop the trucard range across many markets – this puts us in a very strong position to service our customers in the growing SBS coated sector.
We are confident that trucard aligns perfectly with the needs of an ever more demanding European marketplace.”
