Following their World Championship victory, the Scottish Men’s Curling team has paid a visit to its title sponsors, Fife-based Tullis Russell, where the team was able to show off their most recent silverware.
Scotland beat Canada 7-6 to take gold at the Ford World Men's Championship in Moncton, Canada in April and, as the papermaking company marks its 200th year anniversary, it now has double the excuse to celebrate! This recent success also follows two consecutive European gold medal championship wins for the Scottish men’s team under Tullis Russell’s sponsorship.
CEO of Royal Caledonian Curling Club, Colin Grahamslaw, commented; "I am delighted that Tullis Russell has sponsored us throughout our journey to take the World Championship title. This sponsorship agreement partners us perfectly with a Scottish company which produces a world class product and to visit the mill and meet the people behind the sponsorship has been greatly rewarding."
Malcolm Sinclair, Marketing Director at Tullis Russell, added; “We were extremely proud to welcome the team to our site at such a fitting time for both the company and Scottish sport. As we celebrate our 200th anniversary, national pride remains firmly at the core of our culture and this is something that the Royal Club strongly shares.”
