Three Little Words From Tullis Russell Inc.
And to demonstrate these characteristics, the paper manufacturer has produced a distinctive mailer for the US market, printed four color throughout using Lustrulux .010 and .014. By using a number of print finishes and techniques including metallic silver ink, spot varnishing and embossing, the small mailer illustrates just how versatile Lustrulux is.
Several thousand mailers were produced and issued to designers and paper specifiers throughout the US. The mailer focuses on the Scottish heritage of Tullis Russell using atmospheric and scenic photographs taken of Scotland, along with a picture taken of another one of Scotland’s great exports – whisky.
Designed by Edinburgh based Millhouse, the mailers were tailor-made for two of Tullis Russell Inc’s key merchant stockists, Nationwide Papers and Unisource.
Clive Gillanders, Sales Representative for Tullis Russell Inc, explained: “We have witnessed a steady market acceptance of Lustrulux over the last year and this has been reflected in our sales volumes. Lustrulux is fast becoming an exceedingly popular brand and the aim of this direct mail promotion was to build further brand awareness for the product.”
Lustrulux is a premium cast coated board and offers the highest gloss levels of any cast coated product in today’s market. It is ideal for use in the production of top quality brochures, calendars and greeting cards, as well as for premium packaging applications such as cosmetics, perfumes and confectionery.
The premium quality cast-coated solid bleached board made with a twin wire base, gives the sheet a superbly smooth top and reverse side, resulting in superior print results on each side.
Lustrulux is available in a one side coated white and is manufactured in three weights, 8, 10 and 12 pt. Lustrulux performs particularly well across the most demanding conversion processes such as sculpt embossing, foil laminating and form cutting.
All pulps used in the production of Lustrulux are sourced from sustainable managed forests and are elemental chlorine free (ECF) and groundwood free.
