A Selection Of The Cards Printed On Trucard

Over the festive period, over one billion Christmas cards worth an estimated £300 million were posted in the UK alone. And whilst this is good news for the Post Office, it was even better news for the print and paper making industries.,

One such print company, Herbert Walker & Son (Printer) Ltd, based in Shipley, West Yorkshire, (which was recently highly commended in the 1999 PrintWeek awards for ‘Greeting Card Printer of the Year’), print around 20 million Christmas cards each year, using only Tullis Russell Papermakers’ coated brand – Trucard.

Trucard provides both designers and printers with the best solution for producing high quality results over a wide range of packaging and graphical applications. The range has recently been extended with the introduction of new Trucard Duo Matt. Trucard Duo Matt has outstanding levels of whiteness and brightness together with two identical smooth matt surfaces, that provides designers, printers and specifiers with the confidence required to reproduce the most demanding designs on both sides of the board, accurately and consistently.

Trucard is a solid bleached sulphate board made from elemental chlorine free pulps. The one side coated range is available in grammages between 180 gsm and 400 gsm and the Duo Gloss range is available between 180 gsm and 500 gsm. In addition, Tullis Russell has produced a linen embossed 240 gsm to the Trucard range, available in size 72 cm x 102 cm. Trucard Duo Matt is available in a wide range of board sizes and grammages between 200 gsm and 400 gsm.
