Be Inspired with MELLOTEX

The Inspiration..... to create.

Independent papermakers Tullis Russell are showcasing the very best in quality paper and print with the production of a new striking brochure printed on its leading uncoated brand Mellotex. Entitled “The inspiration” the publication is being mailed to key designers and specifiers throughout the UK in November and in addition will also be distributed to printers and key merchant stockists.

Mellotex has established a reputation among the print community for delivering an unrivalled combination of quality and versatility. The brochure, which also shows the new look Mellotex brand identity, uses a range of striking colourful images to demonstrate what can be achieved by printing on a premium uncoated paper.

Tony Middleton, production director of Triangle Printers of Leeds which produced the brochure using a four colour process with special metallic effects and touchplates, commented: ”The “Inspiration” brochure comprises a selection of impactful but distinctly different images, each of which presents a unique printing challenge. For example, a vivid reproduction of a bright red model Volkswagen Beetle benefited from a red touch plate to give it a deep glossy finish while another image featuring a face split painted in red and yellow is superbly captured by the even colour saturation provided by the paper. Mellotex is well respected in the industry for its superior smooth surface and the outstanding finish achieved across the wide spectrum of visuals is the result of good printing practice optimising a superior product.”

Lyn McMorland from Shaw Marketing in Edinburgh, the agency which designed the brochure commented: ”Triangle has done a fantastic job but the quality of the finished product is representative of the level of work which has been achieved using Mellotex by the print and design industries for many years. The intention was to let Mellotex speak for itself and this has been achieved to great effect.”

To complement the brochure, a new product swatch has also been produced which outlines the full range and guide specifiers through the many applications, print and finishing techniques made possible by Mellotex.
